The Southeast Alaska Land Trust is excited to

announce it’s first event of 2017:

We cordially invite you to join Merrill Jensen and the Southeast Alaska Land Trust for an evening about the Girl Gold Miners of Pearl Harbor.

Merrill Jensen, Horticulturist and Manager at the Jensen-Olson Arboretum, will be recounting the lives of one of the original Juneau families – the Petersons. He’ll be illustrating the history of the Peterson sisters, their role as miners and entrepreneurs at the turn of the century, and the legacy that they left for the community of Juneau. See the transformation of the original homestead into the Jensen-Olson Arboretum that occupies the site today.

When: January 14th at 7:00pm

Where: Egan Lecture Hall, UAS campus

Admission: Suggested donation of $20

Seating is limited! Please plan to come early!
